Cheviot Dolls

Crossing two breeds of sheep is nothing new.  Many of our recognized breeds started as a cross beween two previously chartered breeds.

A cross between a Border Cheviot and a Southdown Babydoll made perfect sense.  Both are heritage breeds, disease resistent, able to withstand temperature extremes and easy lambers.

We started cross breeding in 2007 and have produced some beautiful sheep which have gone to vineyards and others who wanted a smaller breed at a more reasonable price.  These crosses have many of the best qualities of the Babydoll including the endearing teddy bear face.
